Continuous learning is important to all of us and we have introduced our Performance and People Development Programme to ensure everyone has the opportunity to discuss their performance and aspirations with their managers and agree development plans to help employees achieve their career aspirations in line with the needs of our business.
We place strong emphasis on management skills and our managers are supported in their role through a series of development programmes designed to build management competencies for those moving into a management role and also more experienced managers as they increase their strategic and leadership role in the business.
Ongoing development opportunities include specific skills training to longer term development programmes. Our Graduate Programme for engineers is designed to expose new graduates to the international environment we operate in and build the knowledge and experience required to make an impact across our business.
We also support employees as they seek to expand their international and business experience through European and global job rotation programmes that are being extended across all of Bridgestone’s businesses.
There are many skills that you can’t develop on a course and we believe that working in our international environment will give you a head start in developing the multi-cultural perspective and management skills so important to building a successful career in an international environment.
Most importantly you be working alongside experienced professionals in a mentoring environment. You will learn from them and they will learn from you!
